The Sun is in the jubilant sign of Sagittarius for the beginning of the month, allowing us to feel expressive and expansive. Ruled by Jupiter in Scorpio, it allows for the energy to also be transformative. The Sun in Sagittarius allows us the freedom to feel festive during this holiday season. People decorate and bake cookies and buy generous amounts of presents. On December 1st, Venus enters Sagittarius. This allows for extra Sagittarius energy to be in the sky but for particularly Venus, our wallets, feel extra generous this season. If you’re wondering whether or not to buy someone a gift, the answer is yes. Venus in Sagittarius also helps us feel like we are more free than usual. The general mood is lightened. On December 2nd, Jupiter will be trine to Neptune. This is the very aspect that allows us to dream. And with Jupiter trine to Neptune, our dreams just might come true. So dream big!!! Light a candle and focus on what you want to manifest this season.
On December 3rd, Mercury goes retrograde at 29 degrees Sagittarius. Keep in mind, Mercury is not at his best in Sagittarius. He’d rather be in Gemini and be able to focus on one thing at a time. Mercury in Sagittarius feels pressured to be overly expansive and sometimes missing the entire point altogether. Every Mercury retrograde has a different flavor, but this one will be interesting because mercury is going to go retrograde right on the Galactic Center. The area of about 28 degrees Sagittarius is a sensitive portal in the sky where lots of psychic transmissions come from. So with mercury going backward over this part of the sky, we can expect lots of psychic activity down here on earth. Saturn is also going to be at 28 degrees Sagittarius making things on earth seem a little bit harder. Make sure to backup your contacts in your cell phone! Jupiter inconjunct the Moon suggests that we may have to adjust what we need emotionally. Changes will need to be made to adjust to the energy.
Also on December 3rd we also have a Full Moon at 11 degrees Gemini. The Full Moon in Gemini is great for making changes in the home as well as where we work. The Saturn/Mercury conjunction wants us to think about where we can work harder to reach our goals. Pluto in the 12th wants us to let go and transform where is necessary to evolve. On December 5th, Chiron goes direct at 24 Pisces. That means we are no longer re-living our old wounds. It’s a time to put the past behind you and move forward. And on December 9th, Mars enters Scorpio. Mars LOVES the sign of passionate and productive Scorpio. In Libra Mars is a bit debilitated, not being able to make a clear decision and relying on others for validation. In Scorpio, He is confident and determined.
On December 18th, we have a New Moon at 26 degrees Sagittarius. Saturn will be conjunct to The Sun and Moon, so things will seem a little heavy. It will be a good time to put out very serious intentions and then following up with them with discipline. Saturn doesn’t let anything happen lightly. Mars will be in the first house, so be passionate about what you want to release on this new moon. And the next day on December 19th, Saturn finally enters Capricorn. Saturn very much loves to be in his home sign of productive Capricorn. For the next 2 – 2 ½ years Saturn will be guiding us and where we need to be more productive in our work lives. And on December 21, the Sun enters the sign of Capricorn, welcoming in another Yule to celebrate. Winter is finally here! Mercury goes direct on December 22nd, and on December 25th, Venus enters Capricorn, conjunct to Saturn, making us responsible with our desires and grounding them in reality.
