Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is used to address the many issues that effect the overall health and balance of our bodies. BCST can be used for both physical complaint and as an exploration into aspects of embodied spirituality.  The body holds conditions and patterns as a result of physical or emotional injury, but fortunately,  also holds the key to resolving many of these conditions. BCST helps by aligning with the organizing forces within the human energy system that are constantly expressed through what is known as the tidal fluctuations of the cerebrospinal fluid.

A BCST practitioner subtly listens through touch for these tidal fluctuations as well as other movements and expressions in the body. This is done with the same sensitivity that a Chinese medical practitioner listens for a pulse to make a diagnosis. There is no manipulation of tissues in biodynamic work, and in a session a client is fully clothed while lying on a massage table.

Tom Bertels is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the Swedish Institute, College of Health Sciences. He is a Licensed Massage Therapist (L.M.T.) and a Registered Craniosacral Therapist (R.C.S.T.©). Tom has been involved with various forms of body work and therapy since 1992. Tom is certified in numerous therapies including Rebirthing, Reiki and Realization Process©. He is available for sessions in these modalities as well. He completed his formal studies in craniosacral work with both Roger Gilchrist of the Wellness Institute and Franklyn Sills of the Karuna Institute, a pioneer in the field.
